  • Ensure policies, procedures and supervision manuals are designed, maintained, and applied consistently across both dealers, while allowing for dealer‑specific nuances where required.

  • Serve as senior escalation point for complex supervision matters, including CBM escalations, regulatory inquiries, audits, and examinations.

  • Partner closely with internal partners including Tier 2 Compliance, Field Leaders, Operations, Legal, and Risk

People Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Provide direct leadership to up to 10 direct reports, setting clear expectations, performance objectives, and accountability standards.

  • Indirectly lead and influence ~31 Corporate Branch Managers, establishing a strong culture of ownership, consistency, and professional judgment.

  • Build a high‑performing team through regular touchpoints, coaching and targeted talent development.

  • Establish KPIs, KRIs, QA results and productivity benchmarks to distinguish and reward high performers as well as identify knowledge and performance gaps that require additional support and coaching.

  • Lead by example and cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability and collaboration.

  • Continually champion and role-model DEI and engagement best practices across the BG&C organization, starting with the team.

Strategy, Transformation & Continuous Improvement

  • Set the vision and roadmap for Tier 1 supervision across both dealers, aligned to enterprise strategy and regulatory expectations.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and modernize supervision processes, tools, and reporting.

  •  Drive data‑informed decision‑making and continuous improvement across supervision activities.

  • Partner with other BG&C Directors and Stakeholders to implement regulatory change and evolve oversight programs.

Field Engagement and Support

  • Act as the principal escalation point for compliance related inquiries, matters and issues raised by field leadership

  • Attend regional events to help foster strong relationship with field leadership and advisors and promote a culture of compliance

What do you need to Succeed?

  • University degree, Professional Designation (MBA, CIM, CFA) and a minimum of 10 years of financial industry experience and knowledge of mutual fund and investment dealer compliance standards and practices.

  • Proficiencies and experience required for registration with CIRO as a Supervisor

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives, regulators, field leadership, and advisors.

  • Sound judgment, integrity, and independence in managing sensitive and high‑risk matters.

  • Knowledge of CIRO and CSA rules and guidance and the ability to apply these in practical situations.

  • Proven track record in building and managing high performing, engaged teams of professionals, some of whom might be in remote locations

  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to balance regulatory rigor, operational efficiency, and business enablement.

  • Knowledge of wealth products

  • Experience working in an OSFI-regulated environment, with alignment to three lines of defense model
