What you'll be doing

As the Director of Solution Design within the Capital Markets Technology team—specifically in the Corporate and Investment Banking, Finance, and Adjudication Technology group—this individual contributor leverages deep technical expertise and coaching skills to support and guide a team of developers. The role is responsible for delivering end-to-end application services, including production support, implementation of new initiatives, and maintenance of essential applications. By applying leadership through coaching and mentorship, the Director supports the team in managing and sustaining large, critical applications, while driving internal change initiatives aligned with evolving technological requirements. The Director actively collaborates with internal partners, ensuring continuous communication to proactively address potential disruptions in application performance. Additionally, the role oversees the ongoing operations of applications and infrastructure in production, adhering to operational standards, vendor governance, and business requirements. Innovation is fostered across all areas of responsibility, utilizing advanced interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities

How you'll succeed

  • Delivery Focused – Work closely with internal partners to determine, negotiate and manage projects to the agreed upon timeline. Monitor finances, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions. Under your leadership, implement projects in a timely fashion that are of high quality, low cost and on budget.
  • Relationship Management – Work closely with project managers, executives,  stakeholders and business partners to develop, and implement application programs. Impact and improve the business by advising application owners on the technology implementation possibilities and requirements. 
  • Moderate the Solution Creation Process: Lead, facilitate and coordinate the solution design, including ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams.

Who you are

  • You are a seasoned technical leader. You have 8+ years of demonstrated experience in: technical architecture, solutions design, Azure Cloud, project management, and senior executive stakeholder management. You have at least 8 years of experience using .NET C#, Python, SQL, API Development, Microservices and at least 5 years of Databricks. Must have a background in Containerization technologies like Kubernetes, Docker and/or OpenShift. Must have at least 5 years of Enterprise Service Bus experience.
  • It's an asset if you have experience working and implementing GenAI Agents or LLM.
  • You have highly developed analytical and conceptual skills. You are adept at developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex problems.
