What it’s like to be a Director, Sales Operations

As a Federated Insurance Director, Sales Operations, you will play a critical leadership role in driving the evolution, effectiveness, and scalability of our sales organization. You will lead the strategies, processes, technologies, and performance frameworks that enable sustainable growth, improve productivity, and enhance the customer experience.

 

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across Sales Operations, Technology & AI Enablement, Lead Generation, and Growth Strategy Execution. You will partner closely with sales leaders and key stakeholders to optimize sales performance, streamline operations, drive technology adoption, and identify new opportunities for growth. A key focus of this position is integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the sales lifecycle to transform customer engagement, lead generation, and business outcomes.

 

You will also provide strategic oversight for Polaris, champion continuous improvement initiatives, support direct channel growth, enhance association and distribution programs, and leverage data-driven insights to help shape the future of our sales organization.

And you have:

  • University Degree, College Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in sales operations, business operations, or related leadership roles

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience with responsibility for strategic initiatives and team management

  • Experience implementing technology solutions and driving operational transformation

  • Demonstrated experience with performance metrics, analytics, process optimization, and growth initiatives

  • Strong knowledge of CRM platforms, AI-enabled technologies, sales enablement tools, and Microsoft Office applications

  • Insurance industry experience

  • Valid driver's license in good standing

  • Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We’re also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn’t quite match your expectations, don’t let that hold you back — we’d still love to hear from you.
