About Brim

Brim Financial is a category defining fintech, building the operating system for credit cards and payments. Our platform powers card programs for banks, credit unions, fintechs, and global brands across North America. We are a fast growing company. We are backed by EDC Growth Equity, Epic Ventures, Vistara Growth, and Impression Ventures and have been recognized as a CB Insights Fintech 100 company and Deloitte Fast 50 and Deloitte Fast 500 winner.

The Director, Product – Payment & Cards supports the development of the product vision and strategy, and drives its execution for our Payments and Cards platform including credit, prepaid, and cross-border products. You will be a leader in the product organization, partner closely with executive leadership, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all product lines and B2B partner implementations.

This role is ideal for leaders who combine deep payments expertise with strong execution and can scale products, platforms, and teams in a high-growth fintech environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive end-to-end delivery across payment products, ensuring on-time, high-quality, and scalable releases
  • Optimization of ACH, RTP/FedNow, wires, and cross-border payments. Define smart routing so transactions settle on the cheapest, fastest available rail
  • Pilot stablecoin settlement as an alternative to correspondent banking where the cost/speed case is clear
  • Work across Compliance, Risk & Treasury for tokenized rails, reserve attestation, sanction screening, cost per transaction, settlement and reconciliation.
  • Support the evolution of the product architecture in partnership with Engineering (APIs, workflows, integrations)
  • Establish strong cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Ops, Risk, Compliance, and Commercial teams
  • Own product performance: KPIs, revenue impact, portfolio growth, and customer outcomes
  • Contribute to shaping product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy for Payments & Cards offerings
  • Build and mentor a high-performing product team with strong accountability and execution discipline
What You’ll Bring
  • 7+ years of product leadership experience with deep expertise in payments and card issuing (US & Canada). Strong domain expertise in cross-border payments, as well as credit card & prepaids.
  • Deep understanding of cross-border payment flows, tokenized payments, authorization, settlement, and reconciliation
  • Proven experience with payment rails, money movement, or financial services APIs, and a strong grasp of the operational and regulatory complexity behind them. Strong technical fluency in APIs, integrations, and platform architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business impact through product strategy and execution. Highly analytical and data-driven with strong commercial and product judgment. Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with strong accountability
Bonus if You Have
  • Experience with Platform-as-a-Service or embedded finance platforms
  • Experience with fraud, risk, and compliance product domains
  • Exposure to AI/LLMs in payments or product automation
What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and equity
  • Remote-first workplace
  • Comprehensive health plan and PTO
  • A team that treats AI as a force multiplier, not a threat
  • Real ownership - you'll shape the processes and standards that drive how we deliver customer value
  • Direct influence on product direction and prioritization for a platform serving major financial institutions
Other Information
  • Remote (US/Canada)
  • Compensation: CA $130,000-200,000
  • Base salary range: For this role, candidates can expect a base salary range, described in the posting. Actual compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and role level. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the top of the range, and pay can increase quickly for those who make a big impact in the role.
