As Product Director, Funding, you will bring deep expertise in the Canadian payments industry to define, lead, and drive the strategy, execution and development of a critical line of business for FCT. The mandate is to design, define and build funding and secure-payments products, including net new products from the ground up. The role involves managing the full product lifecycle.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Develop vision, strategies and objectives that meet the overall goals of Funding solutions
  • Translate ideas into concrete strategies, product requirements and/or processes.
  • Lead the development of new business opportunities, managing the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery through delivery and ongoing iteration
  • Collaborate with the IT Product Development team to define vision, prioritize work, and support delivery through daily active participation
  • Lead product demos with customers to capture feedback and drive a continuous feedback loop into the delivery team
  • Leverage data and insights to drive decision-making, prioritize work, and continuously improve product outcomes
  • Grow existing products by managing/building/supporting sales and marketing development, product enhancements, and customer experience enhancements.
  • Champion your business and products across FCT.  Build relationships with internal partners and provide guidance to them as they support the businesses in achieving business goals. 
  • Continually increase your expertise though analysis of key metrics; discussions with internal and external stakeholders, competitive analysis.
  • Manage day-to-day situations, challenges, and opportunities on the Funding businesses.
  • Actively participate in annual strategic planning, as well as ongoing tracking/adjustments to business plans. On an ongoing basis you will identify opportunities/risks as well as recommend ideas and solutions. 

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • At least 7 years’ experience in the Canadian payment industry including meaningful understanding of ISO requirements, open banking
  • Proven capability with new product development from strategy to execution
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to leverage AI tools for rapid prototyping of high-fidelity, functional applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding fast paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze and apply data to develop insights and make recommendations.
  • Willingness to innovate and explore new opportunities
  • Customer centric mindset and a desire to explore technology solutions to solve business challenges.
