We are looking for a Director of Operations to lead multi-site operations, drive performance, and strengthen client relationships while ensuring operational, financial, and service excellence across our portfolio.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

As Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across multiple accounts and operational teams. You will be responsible for ensuring all sites meet contractual obligations, financial targets, and service standards while building strong, long-term client partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee daily operations across multiple client sites or contracts
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality building automation controls systems
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Monitor operational performance and ensure all KPIs, SLAs, and contract requirements are met
  • Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Review monthly and weekly financial and operational reports to drive accountability and improvements
  • Support Area Managers, Account Managers, and site leadership teams through coaching and development
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and profitability
  • Manage workforce planning, staffing models, and subcontractor/vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with sales and business development teams to support growth opportunities and new contract mobilization
  • Act as an escalation point for operational and client issues, ensuring timely resolution

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in building automation controls systems within operations 
  • Proven experience managing multi-site or multi-account operations
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading large teams, including frontline staff and operational managers
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership
  • Knowledge of contract management and service-level compliance
  • Post-secondary education in business, operations management, automated controls or related field is an asset
