Director of Non-IT Services Sourcing is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department with focus on procurement activities in coordination with the Corporate Services team. The overall objective of this role is to drive the seamless delivery of goods and services requested by company personnel in support of the company's business.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
  • Manage global leaders and assigned staff for subcategories within the region and communicate regularly to ensure business representation and regional members define sourcing strategies
  • Ensure global liaison with business representatives, regional/local country team members, category leaders, and procurement managers in defining the specifications and sourcing strategies
  • Manage all deliverable to an established timeline, service delivery level, and savings target
  • Assist the Chief Procurement Officer with the development of overall Procurement strategies, planning, and team leadership recommending new work procedures and development of new and complex procurement processes as necessary
  • Engage business units and suppliers to drive Citigroup value propositions
  • Direct and manage the development of global commodity and sourcing strategies assisting Citigroup Procurement Strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate global category sourcing team with representatives in all regions, develop and monitor a comprehensive sourcing plan for each major category, and supervise the sourcing process prioritizing new and complex sourcing programs
  • Perform other duties and functions, as assigned, including acting as backup to Chief Procurement Officer as needed
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • 8-10+ years of managerial experience
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and/or strategic sourcing management
  • Working knowledge of sourcing best practices, market intelligence, and process improvement
  • Proven negotiation, contracting and change management skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing long term sourcing strategies and value propositions for sourcing approaches
  • Ability to implement and manage appropriate risk and control frameworks to mitigate supplier and contractual risks
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • 3-5 years of management consulting

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
