Director, Enterprise Intercompany Agreements and Services - Assurance and Monitoring
Who is Mastercard?
Mastercard is a global technology company in the payments industry. Our mission is to connect and power an inclusive, digital economy that benefits everyone, everywhere by making transactions safe, simple, smart, and accessible. We support a wide range of digital payments choices, making transactions secure, seamless, and efficient across more than 200 countries and territories.
Overview
The Enterprise Intercompany Agreements & Service Governance (EISG) team is responsible for establishing and operating a global framework that governs how services are delivered across Mastercard's legal entities. This includes defining standards, ensuring accountability through intercompany agreements (ICAs), and providing consistent, audit-ready evidence of performance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
EISG enables a "govern once, apply many" model-translating regulatory expectations into standardized, reusable governance, monitoring, and assurance practices across the enterprise.
Within this, the Assurance & Monitoring capability is responsible for validating compliance, service performance, and control effectiveness across intercompany services to ensure regulatory defensibility, transparency, and continuous improvement.
The Director is focused on building and executing the enterprise assurance and monitoring capability at scale. It will own the delivery of assurance, taking full accountability for planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and reporting with limited day-to-day direction. Over time, the role will expand to incorporate advisory and stakeholder engagement capabilities, informed directly by assessment insights.
In parallel, it is expected to contribute directly to the evolution of the EISG assurance framework, using hands-on execution insights to improve methodologies, standards, and scalability across the enterprise.
Role
Assurance & Monitoring Execution• Execute end-to-end maturity assessments using the EISG methodology to assess governance, ICA and Service lifecycle controls, ICA completeness and accuracy, service monitoring and performance, and review of regulatory requirements• Perform structured, risk-based evaluations of intercompany services through walkthroughs, evidence reviews, and validation activities, synthesizing results into clear and supportable conclusions• Develop defensible maturity ratings supported by high-quality evidence, with a strong emphasis on generating actionable insights and practical improvement opportunities that provide value beyond traditional assurance outputs• Produce concise, executive-ready reporting, including scorecards, key risks, and prioritized actions, tailored to drive clarity and decision-making• Ensure consistency and repeatability of execution across legal entities, business units, and regulatory environments• As an SME, act as a trusted advisor to influence remediation approaches related to service performance and control design/effectiveness.
AI-Enablement• Apply AI, automation, and self service tooling to modernize EISG assurance activities (e.g., chatbots, workflow automation, document intelligence)-reducing manual effort, accelerating conclusions, and shifting teams from information gathering to judgment and insight• Contribute to defining the future-state assurance operating model, embedding automation, standardization, and data-driven insights into core execution practices
All About You

• Proven ability to independently lead complex workstreams end-to-end, with full accountability for outcomes• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to operate effectively with limited oversight in a build-and-scale environment• Experience influencing senior stakeholders across business, risk, and control functions
