About The Role
The Director, Digital Solutions (DDS) supports HUB Financial and HUB Capital’s national technology initiatives in collaboration with the VP, Advisor Solutions. This role provides consultative guidance to advisors on technology applications, offering specialized training and education on HUB’s digital tools.

The DDS plays a key role in enhancing the advisor technology experience, ensuring seamless platform integration, security, and compliance. They provide thought leadership on technology in financial services, develop educational resources and training programs, and drive engagement with HUB’s digital solutions. Additionally, the DDS evaluates and implements innovative technology tools and oversees the onboarding of new partnerships to support advisors' business growth.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide advice and guidance to advisors on technology solutions to enhance their business

  • Offer recommendations on HUB technology solutions (i.e., cyber security, CRM, financial planning, PROPEL, etc..)

  • Advise and educate advisors on minimum technology standards, business continuity planning and cyber security

  • Work closely with HUB technology partners to increase advisor engagement

  • Evaluate innovative technology to enhance HUB’s offering to advisors

  • Responsible for onboarding, promotion, and support of innovative technology vendor relationships

  • Complete regular technology partner reviews and monitor advisor engagement

  • Maintain the technology content on our HUBlink website

  • Responsible for thought leadership on HUB’s technology solutions

  • Promote education and awareness through training and presentations

  • Deliver educational events and training to advisors on HUB technology solutions and industry best practices (i.e., cybersecurity, CRM, MS 365, and other applications)

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide education, training and support to advisors and HUB employees (i.e., regional sales teams)

  • Continuous learning and participating in insurance and investment industry technology training to stay informed and educated on industry best business practices

What You’ll Need for Success

  • Post-secondary education within a relevant program (Business, Computer Science, Finance, Insurance, Information Systems).

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the life insurance industry and/or technology support roles.

  • Certifications, such as LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) and/or CSC (Canadian Securities Course), are considered assets.

  • Strong understanding of current trends and emerging technologies within the insurance and finance industries, with the ability to translate these insights into practical applications for advisors and clients.

  • Demonstrated experience with technology applications in financial services and the brokerage market.

  • In-depth knowledge of CRM platforms, cybersecurity principles, financial planning software, and other relevant tools. (i.e., Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, MS 365, Dynamics 365, etc..)

  • Proven ability to advise and train on technology solutions in an advisory or consulting capacity.

  • Experience in training, development, and mentoring others.

  • Strong business development mindset with the ability to identify and execute on opportunities.

  • Proficiency in gathering and analyzing data on technology adoption and engagement to drive continuous improvements.

  • Project management experience in technology rollouts, training modules, or software implementations.

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills.

  • Expert-level proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
