About the Role:

The Director, Credit Risk and Investor Analytics will lead the investor analytics function for our Atlanta vertical. This critical role involves overseeing the analysis, presentation, and storytelling of portfolio performance to both internal and external stakeholders. We seek a strategic thinker with deep analytical skills, exceptional written and oral communication, and a proven ability to translate data into compelling narratives. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Investor Sales and Operations) and mentor junior members of the Credit Risk and Investor Analytics team.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive reporting frameworks to track key credit risk metrics and provide actionable insights to senior management and investors.
  • Conduct rigorous hypothesis testing to understand the drivers of key credit risk metric movements.
  • Present portfolio performance and risk assessments to existing and potential investors.
  • Actively participate in the sales process for the Home Improvement product, from initial pitches to responding to due diligence inquiries.
  • Provide timely and consistent responses to ad-hoc investor questions, establishing a framework for efficient and accurate communication.
  • Develop deep expertise in internal and external data sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy for risk analysis and reporting.
  • Drive the documentation and communication of policy and procedural changes related to investor-facing materials.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of credit risk professionals.
  • Represent the Atlanta vertical in cross-functional initiatives and executive-level presentations.

What We Look For:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in consumer credit risk management at a financial institution, with a demonstrated focus on merchant or small business lending (embedded finance experience preferred).
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of credit risk principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term risk management strategies.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance related to credit risk management.
