Position Overview

The Director, Business Operations & Systems Strategy is a strategic, systems-focused leader responsible for optimizing, integrating, and innovating the platforms that power Business Operations. This individual will manage system roadmaps, lead technology evaluations, drive process improvements, and champion AI and automation across the organization. They will also oversee and mentor the Business Operations team while building strong cross-functional and vendor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities


Operations & Systems Leadership

  • Serve as system administrator and subject matter expert for Business Operations–managed platforms.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that support agency needs.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, scalability, and performance.
  • Partner with leadership to maintain an operational systems roadmap aligned with organizational goals.

Enterprise Enhancements & Optimization

  • Lead design, implementation, and governance of enterprise systems and architectures.
  • Define system strategies, roadmaps, and solution frameworks in collaboration with business and technology partners.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and IT infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
  • Guide teams in delivering scalable, secure, integrated solutions.
  • Establish standards for system integration, data architecture, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Monitor performance, recommend improvements, and lead planning/testing for system releases.
  • Support integrations across platforms, including APIs and middleware tools such as Boomi.

NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro Administration

  • Administer and configure NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro to align with business processes.
  • Manage roles, permissions, workflows, dashboards, and custom fields.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Project Management to gather requirements and implement enhancements.
  • Support integrations with NetSuite and other systems (CRM, billing, payroll).
  • Troubleshoot system issues, ensure data integrity, and maintain documentation.
  • Train end users and promote best practices.
  • Partner with vendors and Oracle support for upgrades and complex issue resolution.

Communication & Change Management

  • Deliver clear presentations, trainings, and documentation for system rollouts and updates.
  • Gather business requirements and build strong cases for operational or technical initiatives.
  • Work closely with Business Transformation to ensure proper change management, communication, and training for new or updated systems.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive system and financial data.

AI & Automation Strategy

  • Identify and prioritize AI opportunities in partnership with business leaders.
  • Integrate AI tools to improve forecasting, automate routine tasks, and enhance operational insights.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and champion adoption across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years in business operations, systems administration, enterprise systems, or related fields.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
  • Expertise in system evaluation, integration, and optimization.
  • Experience implementing AI and automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (SuiteProjects Pro preferred), APIs, and middleware (e.g., Boomi).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and vendor management skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and change management best practices.

Salary Range: $88,000 - $100K USD
