The Condition Monitoring (CM) organization is rapidly scaling to support a strategic shift to reach all Resource Industry customers over the next few years. To do so, the CM team needs to develop and customize a myriad of new internal and external facing digital tools and measurement systems to help manage its rapid growth.
This role will be at the center of this tool creation; you will use your technical expertise and creativity to devise unique information management systems and user interfaces to help the CM team assess the health of its own business as it grows. You will also work on customer and dealer facing projects to aid team efficiency and value reporting.

What you will do:
Condition Monitoring Business & Technical Tool Development
• Establish requirements, develop and manage internal business tools and dashboards; focus on human elements like accessibility, security and usability
• Leverage extensive databases and information sources to support critical decision-making processes
• Support executive material preparation and reporting, focusing on reduction of manual or repetitive processes
• Assist internal technical teams with material preparation and reporting, focusing on reduction of manual or repetitive processes
• Innovate to reduce team reporting fatigue
Customer and Dealer Support Projects
• Support the deployment and operations teams to develop new tools, dashboards or other systems to help with external business management and processes
• Create or support projects that lead to efficiencies around material generation (macros, templates, data integration, automation)
• Support consistent and effective value creation materials for customer engagements
• Assist with customer and dealer centric CM reporting projects
What skills will you have:
Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to Condition Monitoring stakeholders.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques, in both Technical and Business arenas; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Software Engineering: Knowledge of software engineering; ability to deliver new or enhanced software products, especially as it pertains to database, measurement and reporting systems
Software Problem Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products.
Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to establish requirements, design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users, across a spectrum of Business and Technical customers.
Top candidates will also have:
Technical Degree or equivalent years of experience.
Experience engaging directly with customers and/or Caterpillar dealers is a plus
Background in cross-functional, project-based teamwork (product development, 6-Sigma, CPI, etc.) including stakeholder level presentation skills.
Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, databases, Macro, programming and associated skills are all desirable.
Experience with Caterpillar and industry data sources.
Additional Information:
The primary work location for this role Peoria, IL, with a requirement to work on-site full-time at a Caterpillar facility.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position may require up to 10 % travel, globally.

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $183,140.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
