Overview 

The 401 Group of Companies is seeking a driven, creative, and results-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist | Social Ads to join our growing marketing team at our head office. In this role, you’ll take the lead on planning, building, and optimizing paid social campaignsprimarily Meta Adsacross our portfolio of franchise automotive dealerships, spanning a diverse lineup of OEM brands. 

This role is ideal for a paid media professional whose passion lies in managing a well-rounded book of PPC campaigns. You live in Ads Manager, you understand what makes a social ad convert, and you’re energized by the challenge of driving performance across multiple dealership brands at once. Google Ads experience is a strong asset, and you’ll have the opportunity to broaden your skill set across the full paid search and social landscape. 

You’ll join a marketing team of 12 talented marketers where collaboration, sharing ideas, and trying new things are part of how we work. Salary - $60,000–$70,000 CAD 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan, build, launch, and manage Meta (Facebook & Instagram) ad campaigns across our franchise automotive dealerships, owning campaigns from strategy through to execution. 
  • Develop audience targeting, segmentation, and retargeting strategies to maximize reach and conversion for each dealership and OEM brand. 
  • Continuously monitor, test, and optimize creative, copy, placements, and budgets to improve campaign performance and return on ad spend. 
  • Proactively present new ad ideas and campaign concepts backed by performance data, and champion the chance to test fresh approaches. 
  • Manage campaign budgets across multiple dealership brands, ensuring spend is allocated efficiently and pacing toward goals. 

Social Media Management 

  • Manage the social media presence for a handful of Franchise Automotive dealerships on a monthly basis including but not limited to, providing the dealership with social media content ideas, editing content submissions, and creating additional pieces of organic content each month 
  • Support the strategy and execution of paid and organic social initiatives, ensuring alignment between the two. 
  • Partner with content and creative teams to source and brief ad creative that resonates with each brand’s audience. 
  • Stay current on platform updates, ad formats, and social trends, bringing new opportunities to the team. 

Google Ads & Cross-Channel Support 

  • Assist with the management and optimization of Google Ads campaigns, including Search, Display, and Performance Max. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive, cross-channel paid media approach across search and social. 
  • Contribute to a well-rounded book of PPC campaigns, expanding your expertise across platforms over time. 

Analytics & Reporting 

  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance using platform analytics and Google Analytics. 
  • Connect reporting to real business outcomes—extending beyond contact requests and lead form fills to monthly visibility into how many vehicles your ads actually helped sell. 
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations, using performance to inform and pitch future campaign ideas. 
  • Monitor key metrics—CTR, CPA, ROAS, conversions, and units sold—and proactively flag opportunities and issues to the team. 

Brand & Team Collaboration 

  • Maintain brand consistency and messaging alignment across all paid campaigns, adhering to multiple brand guidelines at all times. 
  • Work closely with the Brand Marketing Manager and broader marketing team to align paid media with overarching brand and business goals. 
  • Partner with internal departments and external vendors as needed to ensure timely delivery of campaigns. 



Qualifications & Requirements 

Education:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 



Experience 

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns, with a strong emphasis on Meta Ads across multiple brands or accounts. 
  • Demonstrated experience in social media management within a paid media context. 
  • Google Ads experience is a strong asset. 

 

Skills 

  • Deep working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, including campaign structure, audience building, and optimization. 
  • Strong understanding of PPC principles, paid media metrics, and performance optimization. 
  • Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and native platform reporting. 
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple brands and campaigns simultaneously. 
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
