Millions of Canadians get turned away by traditional lenders each year, often despite being able to repay a loan. iFinance Canada and Iceberg Finance were built to serve those customers, with financing for things like medical procedures, car repairs, and other everyday expenses.
The company is past the early startup stage but small enough that you will recognize most of the people you work with. We are growing into new markets and building new products, which means new roles and broader scope for people who want it. There is still ambiguity in how things get done, which also means your ideas can shape the answer.
The Role
We are building a new digital presence for iFinance Canada and need a digital experience developer to own it end to end. The role sits between marketing and technology. You will help select and configure a headless CMS, build the new wedsite from scratch, integrate it with our platforms, and contribute to front-end work on our SaaS systems.
You will work with the Marketing team day to day and report into IT, which gives you visibility across both groups.
What You Will Do
- Help select and configure a headless CMS (Prismic, Sanity, Contentful, DatoCMS, or similar) with input from Marketing and IT
- Build the new iFinance Canada website, translating brand and design direction into a fast, accessible, SEO-optimized experience
- Integrate the site with CRM forms, data flows, marketing automations, and analytics
- Migrate existing WordPress and legacy web properties onto the new platform
- Own the site after launch: new landing pages, A/B tests, SEO improvements, and performance tuning
- Contribute to front-end development on the iFinance SaaS platform alongside the software engineering team
What You Bring
- 5+ years of front-end development with React and Next.js, TypeScript, semantic HTML, and modern CSS (Tailwind, CSS Modules, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with at least one headless CMS (Prismic, Sanity, Contentful, DatoCMS, Storyblok, or equivalent)
- CRM integration experience including forms APIs, embed snippets, and CRM data flows, ideally a CMS-to-third-party migration
- Solid SEO and performance fundamentals: structured data, Core Web Vitals, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA)
- Git proficiency and code review discipline in PR-based workflows
- Comfort working in Figma and translating design files into accurate implementations
Nice to Have
- WordPress migration experience, moving content models to a headless platform
- HubSpot integration experience
- Vercel, Netlify, or similar JAMstack deployment experience
- Bilingual or multi-language website builds (FR/EN)
- Marketing-tech experience: A/B testing tools, analytics tagging, conversion rate optimization
- Familiarity with FinTech or regulated-industry web standards covering privacy, consent, and accessibility
- Mobile app design or development experience
Who You Are
- You are comfortable acting as Marketing's primary technical partner, working with stakeholders on content, campaigns, and brand
- You can take brand direction and produce polished, production-ready interfaces
- You think about conversion, content velocity, and user experience alongside code quality
- You are open to contributing to product front-end work beyond the marketing site
Location and Work Arrangement
Based in Toronto, Ontario, hybrid. You will sit with the Marketing team and work closely with the VP of IT and the software engineering team.
