Design Verification Technologist
As a member of the R&D team, you will be challenged with the application and verification of the latest cutting-edge live- media routing equipment. You will have the opportunity to work on product development from a systems design, product implementation, and automation design perspective. The ideal candidate for this role will be someone that is very keen to build knowledge and driven to seek exposure to multiple facets of broadcasting. The individual selected should be very self-motivated and enjoy a dynamic environment that places a very high emphasis on teamwork and collaboration across multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recreation and resolution of customer issues.
- Test and validate hardware/software to ensure functionality for specific applications.
- Collaborate with developers, deployment, and service engineers to solve problems with a team.
- Execute and improve existing test plans (automate and increase efficiency of existing test procedures)
- Assist with creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including manuals, training material, etc.
- Assist with customer demo preparation and execution.
- Other tasks needed by the Product Management Team.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering/Technology related to Electrical, Computer, or Networking is an asset.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, Python, and the Linux operating system.
- Experience in troubleshooting is an advantage.
- You have a passion for learning new technology software and hardware.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, be self-guided, and take initiative.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, time management and interpersonal skills.
