Capco is looking for Design Systems Designer with experience in the financial services industry to join our Innovation & Design practice. Any applicants must have extensive UX design and user experience testing reflected in their portfolio.

About the Role

As a Design Systems Designer, you will work hand-in-hand with technologists and analysts at Capco and our clients to create wireframes to map out framework of applications and create experiences that are competitive and user-friendly. When required, you will plan, conduct, and interpret primary and secondary design research data to inform the design direction of products, services, and experiences to ensure that user centred design principles are being applied. We collaborate constantly to share learnings and brainstorm solutions. You will also educate clients on the value of UX design and design research, and balance rigor with speed when delivering work.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients and the Innovation & Design team to improve the user experience for customers and employees
• Collaborate with specialists across different teams to deliver the best solutions for our clients.
• Brainstorm solutions to tough client problems, speaking up and sharing your knowledge
• Collaborate on and influence the different stages of a digital product—this includes shaping deliverable scope, contributing to internal and external strategy, designing the digital experience for the end-user
• Work closely with product and business teams, as well as other designers and researchers, to identify important experience design decisions
• Plan and facilitate collaborative workshops and work sessions with internal and external teams
• Design and execute user interviews and tests that address both user behavior and attitudes, using the right methodology for the right questions as needed

About You

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industry experience in digital design role with Design Systems experience
• Ability to lead and mentor junior/intermediate UI/UX resources to ensure work is consistent, usable and on time.
• Strong online portfolio demonstrating a range of relevant work is essential.
• Previous experience building a design system and components
• Detail oriented, experience designing responsive has a genuine passion for design stems, who feels energized and creative when evolving and developing components and guidelines
• Improving processes and efficiencies: the ability to provide input that enhances workflows and helps maintain alignment across all business/platform partners (POs, PGOs, mod pod team)
• Balancing strategic thinking and hands-on execution: demonstrated ability to navigate between long term strategy needs and immediate project requirements, ensuring the work aligns with both
• Design and create reusable components in Figma that can be used across the platform.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and align with the platform's needs and standards.
• Perform Design QA on final product implementations to ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Write and maintain clear, concise documentation to guide other designers in using the designs system components effectively.
• Publish and update design libraries in Figma to ensure that components are readily accessible for all team members.
• Ensure that all new components meet WCAG standards for accessibility, promoting inclusivity and usability across the platform.

Nice to have

• Experience working with large-scale data in mixed-method studies
• Working knowledge of statistics and experimental design
• Fluent with French language
• Experience in the financial services industry
