What will you work on?
The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast for their customers by incorporating business intelligence (ie. POS Data, retailer inventory), forecast information gathered from Sales/brand marketing, and data analysis tools (ie. Ladder planning). This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key stakeholders on the Sales team. To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly analytical, and possess excellent communication skills.
How will you create impact?
- Forecasts for the entire product portfolio for assigned customers.
- Ensures successful customer promotion execution through effective planning and leverage of key customer event inputs.
- Presents, solicits, and assess’ feedback on the various forecasts from Sales, and recommend adjustments for operational forecasts. Reviews promotional plans with Sales.
- Provides timely forecast updates/adjustments to ensure downstream Supply Chain partners receive the right buy/production signal.
- Systematically identifies and works to reconcile discrepancies and close gaps among inputs on a weekly ongoing basis.
- Analyzes multiple data streams including POS/consumption data, retailer inventory, and forecast projections to identify risks and opportunities in the forecast that result in actionable changes.
- Owns and facilitates monthly S&OP forecast consensus process for their customer resulting in a rolling 12-month demand plan.
- Tracks forecast accuracy, bias, and fill rate at the product level and reports on root cause. Drives process improvements to improve KPI results.
- Identifies and initiates process improvement projects both internally within the team and externally with cross-functional partners.
How will you fit into the team?
- Deliver reports and analysis on time, coming up with contingency plans when necessary.
- Strong analytical skills and statistical knowledge. Understanding of multiple regression models.
- Excellent/advanced working knowledge of Excel, Analysis for Office, Power BI.
- IBP and SAP Software experience an asset.
What are your skills and experience?
- Consumer products forecasting and/or supply chain operations experience.
- Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and/or supply planning.
- Experience with any forecasting application or supply planning software and/or SAP, IBP.
This posting is for an existing vacancy. This position requires an onsite presence four days per week.
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $75,000 to $80,000 per annum. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master ltd. is a multi-provincial employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other provinces.
