General Description:

As the Deal Desk Operations Manager, you will own the end-to-end commercial execution process across quoting, approvals, and contract execution globally. You will play a critical role in enabling efficient, scalable, and compliant deal execution, ensuring processes are simple, transparent, and aligned to company policies and best practices.  Instrumental to your success will be your ability to optimize deal workflows, enforce pricing and governance guidelines, and continuously improve systems and processes to support efficient execution at scale. 

Instrumental in your success will be your management for driving deal velocity and enhancement of systems and processes for enforcing pricing and governance guidelines and deliver a high quality selling experience across quoting, approvals and contract execution.    

In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure pricing structures support efficient deal execution and align with company policies across teams. Your ability to identify and lead process improvements while collaborating effectively, will be key to strengthening D2L’s quoting function. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, motivated by solving problems and driving operational excellence.

How You Will Make an Impact: 

  • Manage the operational process of deal desk execution, from quote through discounts, approval, and contract execution, creating consistent best practices, business guidelines that ensure scale and velocity globally.     
  • Help drive process improvements, AI transformation and improve tool optimization that promote efficiencies in the sales/pricing/contracting/revenue process.  
  • Building strong relationships cross functionally – Sales/ RevOPs/ Enablement / Legal / RFP’s / teams that will help identify friction points and implement solutions to solve them.  
  • Strong collaboration with Sales Enablement to guide and train the sales team on the use of pricing best practices.    
  • Build and maintain strong internal process documentation via confluence and training for the pricing team, enabling and mentoring team members.  
  • Guide and support front-line sales regarding deal structure support and pricing optimization that adheres to company policies around pricing, discount, and margin strategies.  
  • Providing support for standard and non-standard deals to sales and customer success, from RFP’s to contract completion.  
  • Project work and assignments as required.

Skills 

  • Strong process improvement skills including demonstrated ability to manage end to end medium to large process improvement projects  
  • Strong Excel skills, proven ability to organize and analyze data and impact 
  • Strong systems background with a focus on efficiency at scale including application of automation and generative AI   
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite  

Suggested Qualifications/Experience: 

  • University degree or equivalent in accounting designation, business and/or commerce,  
  • 5+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Pricing, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Finance  
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, discounting, and deal structuring principles  
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise deals and RFP processes  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workflows and competing priorities  
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams 
  • Experience working in global international operations is an asset  
  • Experience working within Salesforce or other CRM’s is an asset.  
  • Experience in working with ERP systems 

The expected base salary range for a new hire in this role is listed below. The annualized base salary offered is determined by each candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, training and experience. It is aligned to ensure both internal and external competitiveness using market data for the geographic location and industry. As part of the total compensation at D2L the role may be eligible for additional benefits including a Wellness Subsidy, Equity Grants, Variable Incentive, and more.

Base Salary Range
$108,000$125,000 CAD
