About the Role:

We are seeking a Database Administrator / Data Analyst to join our team. This role blends operational database administration with hands-on data analysis, with a strong emphasis on modern infrastructure practices. You’ll help ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our database platforms while contributing directly to client success through data-related work
What You'll Do:
  • Manage and operate database platforms across multiple environments, including high availability and disaster recovery setups.
  • Monitor and observe data platforms, including ongoing metrics, alerting, and outage detection.
  • Apply system administration skills to troubleshoot, patch, and optimize database workloads.
  • Design, build, and improve automation to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to enable smooth and reliable deployments.
  • Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis to continuously improve system uptime.
  • Support compliance, governance, and best practices for secure and resilient infrastructure.
  • Support data analysis, reporting, and data updates as required to assist clients with their data needs.
  • Leverage automation and AI-assisted tools to improve database operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with database platforms such as SQL Server, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience administering Azure resources, managing virtual machines, disk and network resources.
  • Strong experience querying, troubleshooting, and analyzing data across relational and NoSQL data stores using SQL and related query languages.
  • Ability to analyze query and indexing performance.
  • Experience in monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
  • A mindset of continuous improvement, learning, and collaboration.
  • Ability to work across operational and analytical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience supporting production systems with on-call or incident response responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, or data governance practices.
  • Experience validating data quality and handling data reconciliation.
  • Comfort working with large or complex datasets.
  • Comfort juggling multiple priorities or client requests.
  • Experience using AI tools to assist with SQL development, data exploration, or operational workflows.
  • Experience with MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or PostgreSQL would be an asset.
