What We'll Bring:
As a Data Solutions Engineer, you will engage with both internal and external customers to solve their unique data challenges and provide creative, custom solutions to drive adoption of our platform services. You will work on the “front lines” to understand customer needs and align those needs with the needs of TU’s products and services that the customer uses.What You'll Bring:
- Qualifications/Education:
To be successful, you will possess- An ability to accurately estimate work artifacts in an agile environment
- A proven track-record in client problem through software design and development
- Proficiency in Linux
- Strong scripting knowledge of Shell scripting
- Proficient in at least one programming language including Java 8 or higher, Python and/or Scala
- Solid knowledge of SQL and open-source RDBMS such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience with source control and code review tools (Git, GitLab, Gerrit)
- Exposure with Build Automation frameworks (Maven, Gradle, Jenkins)
- Experience with Cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of large-scale data processing systems like Hadoop, Map Reduce and Spark.
Your background will include - A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or STEM field preferred.
- Relevant experience or degree in progress will be accepted in lieu of degree.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced proficiency in English (Speaking, writing, and reading)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills · Excellent organizational skills
- A demonstrated ability to adjust to rapid changes in priority and deadlines.

Preferred candidates may have experience with:- GUI and web development with front end development using Vue.js helpful
- Containerization, docker and/or Kubernetes
- Managing and communicating the status of work products via Jira stories

- Develop custom solutions to help client fully engage with our platform and services
- Manage various incoming communications through a range of channels, to include phone calls, emails, team chats and Jira tickets
- Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
- Following up with clients or customers to check that they’re still satisfied and seeing success with your solutions
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives; follow up to ensure resolution
- Troubleshoot common platform issues
