The AI2 (Analytics, Insights & Artificial Intelligence) team partners closely with the business to deliver data driven insights, advanced analytics, and AI solutions that inform decision-making and shape strategy across the enterprise. We provide end-to-end support—from data and reporting to advanced analytics and AI—helping our partners uncover opportunities, solve complex problems, and better serve our customers.
AI2 is a high impact, fast evolving team at the center of how the organization measures success, drives innovation, and reimagines customer experiences. This role supports the Digital Strategy, Innovation and Payments (DSIP) portfolio, advancing digital leadership, innovation, and payments capabilities to deepen client engagement and drive growth.

Role Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Digital Analytics, the Data Scientist III is a senior individual contributor and thought leader within DSIP. The role spans three strategic portfolios:
- Enterprise Digital Strategy – defining and governing how digital leadership is measured at an enterprise level
- Interac Verification Service (IVS) – enabling secure digital identity verification for customers and businesses
- Digital Vault – an enterprise capability for secure digital document exchange with customers and third parties
In this role, you will benchmark and elevate enterprise digital performance, shape how success is measured, and accelerate adoption of critical digital capabilities. You will be trusted to provide strategic insight, influence senior stakeholders, and mentor peers—helping to raise the overall analytics maturity of the organization.
What You’ll Do:
Drive Enterprise Digital Leadership
- Benchmark enterprise wide digital performance and identify‑ opportunities to strengthen digital leadership and differentiation.
- Evolve performance measurement frameworks to unlock new use cases, demonstrate business value, and drive adoption of digital capabilities.
Deliver Strategic, Actionable Insights
- Lead complex, end-to-end‑ analytics initiatives—from problem framing to insight generation and business recommendations.
- Translate ambiguous business questions into well-defined‑ KPIs, analytical approaches, and measurable outcomes.
- Produce clear, compelling insights that inform strategy, influence decisions, and solve real business problems.
Partner and Influence
- Act as a strategic bridge between business partners and data teams, ensuring analytics solutions are both technically sound and business relevant.
- Lead stakeholder discussions with confidence, using concise narratives supported by rigorous analysis.
- Identify and recommend initiatives that create measurable financial and strategic value using analytics and AI.
Lead by Expertise
- Serve as a subject matter‑ expert and trusted advisor in digital analytics and data science.
- Coach, mentor, and empower peers, contributing to capability building and a strong analytics culture.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in how analytics can enable innovation and reimagine digital experiences.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Graduate or undergraduate degree in quantitative discipline such as management analytics, statistics, mathematics, operations research, economics, computer science, or engineering
- 5+ years of experience performing advanced analytics or data science, ideally in the digital space.
- Experience in financial services industry – retail banking or wealth management an asset
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python/PySpark, Databricks, Azure, Power BI
- Ability to work across large, complex datasets and integrate insights from multiple sources.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create and articulate a compelling business case to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong focus on attention to detail to produce high quality, accurate and timely deliverables to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize competing requests / multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.
- Creative problem solver, self-starter, resourceful in getting things done.
