Job Description
The objective of the data governance team is to work across the stakeholders such as Firmwide CDO, Legal, Compliance, risk SMEs, and Control functions to support the Data Governance program initiatives that include developing and documenting processes & procedures to support enterprise data governance, mature data capabilities, enhancement of controls, and development /usage of AI/ML to gain business insights and increase operational efficiencies. The candidate will support implementation and maintenance of a data governance framework that includes a streamlined governance structure, expanded operational metrics, alignment to strategic data priorities to drive compliance and data control enhancements.
As a Data Governance Lead in the Global HR and Employee Experience Data Governance team, you will work with Firm wide Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO), Subject Matter Experts (SME) across HR & EX Chief Data & Analytics Office to manage Metadata, Quality, Classification, Protection, Storage, Retention and Destruction, Use and Privacy, in strong partnership with Business Controls, Workforce Technology (WFT), Information Security Managers, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product Owners, and various business areas within HR and Employee Experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the HR Privacy team in implementation of firmwide data management frameworks, procedures, processes and training in partnership with subject matter experts.
- Oversee HR/EX Privacy team's implementation of Firmwide Data Risk metrics, Chief Data Office (CDO) operational metrics and technology data-related control procedures
- Provide and facilitate evidence aggregation for HR & EX Data Management audits, regulatory exams or operational risk reviews in the Privacy area
- Participate in various data forums, committees and councils related to Privacy as needed
- Deliver projects related to Privacy such as the implementation and change management in support of a new laws/regulations, including but not limited to developing training courses of end-to-end data management requirements and processes in the HR Privacy domain
- Drive changes required to HR privacy processes, procedures and/or controls to align with Firmwide Data Management & Data Privacy policies / standards.
- Manage HR Privacy team's project plans, milestones, risk/issues and status reports rts.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years' experience in data management, business controls, data risk management or technology controls. Master's degree preferred but not required
- 5+ years' team management experience with responsibilities of performance management
- 5+ years Data Privacy working experiences and subject matter expertise in Privacy regulations / laws, such as GDPR.
- Knowledge of controls and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, create procedure and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
- Data governance subject matter expertise required
- Experience in implementing firmwide policies and standards
- Independent self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
- Experience coordinating across functional teams and other key stakeholders
- Strong relationship-building skills, demonstrated consultative approach and proven skill in influencing others.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex issues concisely, communicating effectively and comfortably with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrates attention to detail with excellent organization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Knowledge of Human Resources practices and processes preferred
