Reporting to the Data Governance Director, you will help ensure enterprise and client data is integrated, reliable, governed, and AI-ready while collaborating with data engineers, data stewards, product managers, and business leaders.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather complex business requirements and translate them into clear, actionable data and technical specifications for engineering teams.
  • Utilize hands-on data modelling techniques (conceptual and logical) to help design data structures that meet current and future business objectives.
  • Contribute to the creation, standardization, and ongoing management of the Enterprise Data Glossary and core metadata, ensuring consistent data definitions and lineage across the organization.
  • Drive day-to-day initiatives to integrate data across multiple business lines and disparate systems, contributing directly to the development of a unified enterprise data model.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current data workflows or stewardship processes and recommend scalable improvements to enhance overall data maturity.
  • AI-Readiness: Support foundational data quality and structure initiatives required to transition the business toward advanced analytics and AI-readiness.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Act as a central liaison across various business departments, facilitating communication and ensuring data solutions align with overarching enterprise strategy.
  • Governance Advocacy: Champion enterprise-wide data governance and data quality initiatives, defining rules and guiding business users on how to apply them.

What you bring:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a Data Governance Analyst, Metadata Manager, Data Custodian, or in a similar enterprise data role.
  • Business and data analysis: Proven ability to translate complex business concepts into detailed data requirements, technical specifications, conceptual models, and logical data models.
  • SQL and data integration: Strong SQL skills for querying and analysis, with experience documenting data mappings between source and target systems using SQL and NoSQL data structures.
  • Governance and cloud platforms: Knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, stewardship practices, and modern cloud data platforms, including data warehousing and ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Collaboration and communication: Demonstrated success working across matrixed organizations, regions, business lines, and leadership levels; Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or a similar certification is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related analytical field.
