The Data Analyst is a strategic member of the Strategy & Analytics team, responsible for transforming data into actionable business insights and driving data-informed decision-making across multiple business functions. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions—partnering with stakeholders to understand requirements, designing analytical frameworks, and delivering impactful visualizations and reporting solutions. This role combines business acumen with analytical expertise, requiring you to translate complex business questions into data-driven insights while maintaining rigorous data quality standards. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of business intelligence or business analysis experience, holds a degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering, and demonstrates proven experience with BI tools and data visualization platforms. You'll need strong problem-solving skills, expertise in mutual fund and market-based insurance products, and exceptional ability to communicate insights and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences including senior leadership. Success requires balancing analytical rigor with business strategy, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence decision-making through data storytelling.

What will you do?

  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and document business requirements and analytical needs
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for executive and operational audiences
  • Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and deliver actionable insights and recommendations
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics, providing regular insights on trends and anomalies
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data requirements are met for reporting and analytics initiatives

What do you need to succeed?

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in related data analytics and report building roles.
  • Successful completion of B.Sc./B.A. in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or applicable program
  • Demonstrated experience with BI and visualization tools required (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms)
  • Strong business requirements gathering and documentation skills, with ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Proficiency in SQL and data querying, with understanding of database structures and data relationships
  • Experience with data modeling concepts and ability to understand semantic data models and business logic
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to deliver insights to technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite executives

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of the investment operations lifecycle, including trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, portfolio accounting, and compliance.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of individual financial service industry on a greater scale (knowledge of mutual funds, segregated funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), SMAs, etc.)
  • Experience with Python, R, Tableau, SQL, AWS
  • Experience with CRM tools or Salesforce specifically

Unique Requirements:

  • Some travel may be required.
  • Extra hours may be required during the quarter-end reporting periods and during periods with high mutual fund trading volumes.

What's in it for you?

  • Hybrid work environment
  • A friendly, collaborative, and inclusive culture
  • 15 vacation days per year
  • Flexible Benefits from the day you join to meet the needs of you and your family
  • Pension, stock and savings programs to help build and enhance your future financial security
  • The opportunity to move along a variety of career paths with amazing networking potential
  • Access to our Global Learning Centre, available 24/7 for your learning needs
  • Wellness programs that support the three pillars of your health – mental, physical and financial
