The Data Analyst will design SQL queries, analyze datasets, develop Python scripts, create dashboards in Power BI/Tableau, and communicate insights.

Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and ETL/ELT transformations across relational databases.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, operational efficiencies, and process improvement opportunities within trucking and freight operations.
- Develop Python scripts to automate data extraction, processing, and reporting workflows.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI and Tableau for operations, finance, HR, and leadership teams.
- Process, cleanse, and validate data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems (TMS, WMS, fleet platforms).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to monitor production models, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance.
- Research operational data and prepare analytics to support freight network design and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into clear analytical reports and data-driven recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for data quality improvement, process optimization, and automation.
- Create tables, datasets, and reports from multiple data sources to support decision-making.
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports for internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Communicate insights and data strategies clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in technology, data analytics, or a related field.
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Understanding of databases such as MySQL, SQL Server.
- Experience with Snowflake and PySpark is considered an asset.
- Experience using reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Matillion, or similar platforms.
- Professional experience with data mining, data cleaning, and data segmentation is an asset.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries is considered an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding operational environment, sometimes with limited direction.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, along with strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively collaborate within a team environment.
