About PureFacts Financial Solutions

PureFacts is a global leader in revenue management, client reporting, and data-driven solutions for the wealth and asset management industry. Our mission is to empower financial services firms with smarter technology that increases revenue, reduces risk, and improves client transparency.

We’re a purpose-driven organization committed to making a difference—both in financial services and in the communities we serve. At PureFacts, innovation, integrity, and impact are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

As Controller, you will lead PureFacts’ global accounting and controllership function, ensuring the integrity, scalability, and transparency of financial reporting across all entities.

This role is both hands‑on and strategic: you will own the end‑to‑end close and reporting process while partnering closely with FP&A, Revenue Operations, and Business Leaders to support growth, SaaS revenue complexity, and long‑term scalability.

You will play a key role in strengthening financial controls, evolving systems and processes, and supporting the company’s continued expansion as a global SaaS organization.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop the accounting team which performs full cycle-accounting tasks (AR, AP, sales tax filings, reconciliations, journal entries etc.)
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accuracy, continuous improvement, and collaboration

Consolidated Reporting & Accounting

  • Oversee consolidated and entity‑level financial statements, including complex accounting entries, reconciliations, and eliminations
  • Lead the end‑to‑end monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting
  • Maintain ownership of the general ledger and chart of accounts, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all entities
  • Ensure accurate accounting for recurring revenue arrangements and related accruals, deferrals, and estimates in accordance with GAAP
  • Review and approve complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, exercising sound judgment on accounting matters
  • Continuously assess and enhance accounting processes, controls, and systems to support scalability, efficiency, and audit readiness
  • Partner closely with FP&A, Revenue Operations, and business leaders to ensure alignment between operational activity and financial reporting

Compliance and governance

  • Ensure strong internal controls, policies, and procedures are in place to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and local statutory requirements across all jurisdictions
  • Lead and manage global and local financial statement audits, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors
  • Support tax compliance activities in collaboration with external tax advisors, including coordination of filings, provision of required data, and review of tax‑related accounting entries
  • Oversee intercompany transactions and ensure alignment with established transfer pricing policies; maintain and update documentation as required

Treasury and working capital management

  • Own global cash management and liquidity planning, including short‑ and medium‑term cash forecasting, monitoring, and reporting to ensure visibility and alignment across functional leaders
  • Oversee daily cash operations, banking relationships, and cash controls to support effective working capital management
  • Partner with Finance leadership to optimize cash flow, improve forecasting accuracy, and support strategic decision‑making
  • Lead or support ad hoc finance initiatives and transformation projects, including accounting policy changes, system enhancements, and transitions such as adoption or expansion of U.S. GAAP

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive controllership or accounting leadership experience, ideally with a SaaS organization
  • CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA) required
  • Deep experience with SaaS revenue models and recurring revenue accounting
  • Experience supporting audit, tax, and external stakeholders in a multi‑entity environment
  • Demonstrated ability to scale finance processes in a high‑growth organization
  • Strong analytical and financial reporting expertise, with the ability to deliver clear, accurate, and actionable insights
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proven relationship‑builder with the ability to partner effectively with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting, with experience overseeing end‑to‑end accounting operations and cash management
  • Self‑directed and adaptable, with the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, growth‑oriented organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong experience working within enterprise‑level ERP systems (NetSuite an asset)
  • High integrity and sound judgment, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience supporting change initiatives such as system implementations, process improvements, or organizational transformation is an asset
  • Embody our values of Hungry, Humble, Smart, Purposeful, as well as Teamwork and Radical Candor

Measurements of Success

  1. Month end close and reporting – Implement cadence to close each period efficiently and issue reporting in a timely manner
  2. Cash flow management – implement weekly forecasting and reporting
  3. Accounting Policies – Define and implement procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity (documented and circulated)
  4. Process and system Optimization – Automate and standardize reporting and processes to align with operating model
