Location

This role is based in Toronto. Given the collaborative nature of the position, we expect a minimum of two days per week in the office, with frequency varying based on business needs. Candidates should be local to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and comfortable coming in as the role requires.

About Common Wealth

Common Wealth exists to make retirement security accessible to all Canadians. As Canada’s fastest-growing group retirement provider, we serve over 1,700 employers across the country and are helping tens of thousands of Canadians build long-term financial security. Our award-winning retirement technology and services platform makes it easy for employers of all sizes to offer competitive retirement benefits, empowers members to build wealth with confidence, and equips advisors with tools to better serve their clients. We work closely with a rapidly expanding network of advisors, for whom we strive to be a true partner in powering the growth of their business.

About the Opportunity

We're building an in-house content studio at Common Wealth, and we're hiring a Content Production Manager to help us produce content that improves the financial lives of Canadians while helping Common Wealth build brand recognition and growth. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you'll turn our ideas and expertise into distinctive, memorable content that educates, engages, and gets people to act. Above all, this is a chance to build an audience. You'll reach and educate the tens of thousands of Canadians on (and beyond) our platform about financial topics most were never taught, helping close a gap that leaves the majority of Canadians without real financial education. This is a hands-on role for an experienced producer who can take ownership and move fast. Your job is to take the ideas and expertise within our organization and bring them to life in the form of content that scales.

What You Will Do

  • Tell money stories that build trust. You’ll create real, relatable personal-finance and retirement-related stories that connect with people, and write and edit clear copy that makes complex topics simple. You’ll take ideas from across the business and sharpen them into content worth sharing.

  • Help build our in-house content studio. You’ll help stand it up and assist in leading the production of high-quality content across video, podcast, written, and social. You’ll build on the assets we already have instead of starting from scratch every time.

  • Help deepen our relationship with plan members. Your primary audience is the members who use the Common Wealth platform, Canadians who are joining an employer's plan and saving for retirement. You'll adapt voice, depth, and format to fit what matters most to them, leading with their needs before layering in practical, expert-backed guidance.

  • Help build a retail brand. You’ll help distribute content at scale across video, email, and social, working closely with marketing, financial planning, product, and program teams to keep everything organized, visible, and on schedule.

Who You Are

  • An experienced content creator and audience builder. You have 8+ years in content marketing, content production, or multimedia production, with hands-on experience across formats, including podcasting, short-form video, and YouTube. Just as important, you've grown the audience it's aimed at, building reach and trust over time.

  • A strong storyteller and writer. You make complex topics simple and engaging, and take pride in the craft of clear, compelling copy.

  • A self-starter. You can own content end to end and work independently, and you’re comfortable in a fast-growing environment where priorities shift.

  • Fluent with AI. You’re actively experimenting with the latest technology with a learning mindset to make the content production better and faster.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or an adjacent media or content environment

  • Experience producing content across multiple brands or business lines

  • Familiarity with retirement, financial planning, or personal finance topics

Why Work With Us

In addition to a competitive salary of $110,000-130,000, you will receive health and dental benefits, life insurance, a Health Spending Account, a 5% employer match into one of our award-winning group retirement plans, and four weeks of vacation. Our growing team combines deep expertise in the key disciplines necessary to help our customers achieve retirement success.
