We’re looking for a Senior Content Designer to join our Financial Services vertical at Lightspeed. As a senior member of the Content Design team, you’ll shape user experiences across complex financial, payments, and compliance-driven workflows. You’ll lead the content strategy for key initiatives such as unifying terminology taxonomy,  strengthening and scaling  self-serve content systems, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to align messaging across sales and onboarding.

You’ll also play a critical role in advancing AI-assisted content design, from setting prompting standards to shaping how AI supports creativity, efficiency, and personalization within the product experience. This is a unique opportunity to take on high-impact, strategic work in a fast-paced environment with experienced industry leaders. You’ll help define how users interact with essential financial products and build frameworks that scale across the organization.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Communication and collaboration
    • Own and drive end-to-end content strategy for Financial Services initiatives, ensuring clarity, usability, and compliance across the product experience.
    • Partner with Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, Legal, and other stakeholders to guide content decisions from discovery through delivery.
    • Coach and mentor other Content Designers, sharing best practices and elevating craft across the team.
  • UX content strategy
    • Create clear, consistent, user-centered content for complex financial workflows (e.g., onboarding, payment flows, risk/compliance processes, reporting).
    • Lead content audits and develop strategies to streamline terminology and patterns across squads and departments.
    • Define frameworks that ensure content quality across in-product messaging, glossaries, style guides, and system-wide content models.
  • AI integration
    • Establish best practices for AI-assisted UX writing, including prompt libraries, tone/voice rules, pattern libraries, and guidelines.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities where AI can enhance user experiences (e.g., contextual guidance, personalization, recommendations).
    • Lead experiments with generative AI tools to optimize content workflows, QA processes, and scalability, balancing innovation with compliance and accuracy in a regulated space.
  • Operate with autonomy and leadership in
    • Manage multiple initiatives across squads while providing clear prioritization guidance.
    • Navigate ambiguity with a strategic, solution-oriented approach.
    • Bring operational awareness by balancing innovation with the maintenance of existing systems and regulatory constraints.

What you need to bring:

  • 5+ years of UX writing or content design experience in SaaS, Financial Services,  fintech, banking, payments, or another regulated industry.
  • Strong experience leading content strategy for complex, multi-touchpoint product experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining scalable content systems (style guides, pattern libraries, terminology frameworks).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence decisions at multiple levels.
  • Ability to write and refine prompts for consistency, accuracy, and tone/voice across products.
  • Experience building or contributing to prompt libraries, AI content guidelines, or AI-supported UX patterns.
