The Opportunity:

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and synchronize content strategies supporting PSYOP, OIE, and Commander objectives. 

  • Lead the development of narratives, themes, messages, and communication products designed to influence target audience perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors. 

  • Integrate cultural, social, political, and behavioral insights into campaign planning and product development. 

  • Direct the creative development of multimedia products, including digital content, video, graphics, print materials, and emerging media capabilities. 

  • Ensure communication products are culturally appropriate, operationally relevant, and aligned with approved authorities, policies, and guidance. 

  • Collaborate with PSYOP planners, intelligence personnel, regional subject matter experts, and operational stakeholders to develop effective influence strategies. 

  • Identify key narratives, influencers, vulnerabilities, and behavioral drivers within target populations. 

  • Oversee content production workflows and quality control processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness across communication channels. 

  • Assess product and campaign effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative measures and recommend adjustments to maximize operational effects. 

  • Translate operational objectives into executable communication and influence activities supporting campaign and contingency requirements. 

  • Monitor regional cultural trends, media environments, information consumption habits, and adversary influence activities to inform planning and execution. 

  • Support Target Audience Analysis (TAA), behavioral analysis, and influence assessments to refine messaging and operational approaches. 

  • Develop culturally informed products that increase message credibility, audience resonance, and desired behavioral outcomes. 

  • Coordinate content, creative, and cultural activities across joint, interagency, multinational, and mission partner organizations. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, International Relations, Regional Studies, Behavioral Science, Strategic Communications, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting, Psychological Operations (PSYOP), Operations in the Information Environment (OIE), strategic communications, influence operations, or related fields. 

  • Experience integrating cultural, behavioral, and target audience analysis into planning, messaging, and influence activities. 

  • Ability to collaborate with operational planners, intelligence personnel, and senior leaders to translate objectives into effective communication and influence campaigns. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF), Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs), Joint Task Forces, or other Department of Defense organizations. 

  • Knowledge of Target Audience Analysis (TAA), behavior change methodologies, persuasion frameworks, and influence assessment techniques.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$65,000 - $136,500
