We are currently seeking a dynamic Consulting Security Engineer-LAN Edge to be a part of enabling the success of our rapidly growing business.

Fortinet is seeking a Consulting Security Expert specializing in wireless, switching and NAC technologies to support sales, marketing, and development initiatives in Canada. Acting as a senior consultant, the CSE collaborates closely with field engineering and account teams to drive impactful engagements across industries. This role combines in-depth technical expertise with exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver solutions tailored to customer needs while shaping Fortinet’s success and future products. We are looking for keen, driven individuals who have a special passion around LAN edge and access technologies.

Consulting Security Engineer-LAN Edge, you will:

  • Pre-Sales Support
    • Serve as a strategic technical resource for pre-sales engagements and key opportunities across Canada.
    • Provide technical guidance to field engineering and sales teams to positively influence customer decisions.
    • Design and recommend tailored security solutions to meet customer needs.

 

  • Collaboration and Product Development
    • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to identify and develop features critical to Fortinet’s success.
    • Provide feedback to Research and Development based on customer and partner insights to drive product improvements.

  • Education and Enablement
    • Support educational initiatives, including in-person and virtual training, to maintain expertise among partners, resellers, and distributors.
    • Develop and refine technical documents and presentations to support field engineering and enhance knowledge-sharing.

  • Project Management: Monitor VIP projects, address potential issues promptly, and ensure seamless communication with sales teams for next steps.

  • Community Leadership: Participate in internal engineering communities and demonstrate technical leadership to drive Fortinet’s growth and innovation.

We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate exemplifies qualities common to consultants, in addition to domain specific technical knowledge:

  • Strong expertise in wireless, switching and NAC technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and articulate complex security solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and sales.
  • Ability to adapt technical presentations to diverse audiences. 
  • Highly proactive and driven individuals will be highly favored.
  • Ability to act as technical mentor with peers.
  • English required, French a definite plus.

Education

  • BS or equivalent experience

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $223,000 - $273,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
