Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory Group has been actively involved in the appraisal and consulting for institutional and corporate-related properties for over 50 years and is internationally recognized as an industry leader in real estate services. As one of the largest commercial real estate services firms in the world, C&W has extensive market knowledge, resources and geographic coverage to meet the needs of our clients around the globe.

We are currently seeking a Consultant, based in our Toronto office. The successful candidate will focus on providing our clients with an in-depth range of valuation and advisory services. As part of the Cushman & Wakefield network, you will benefit from access to all our best practices including technology and information access, global and national marketing and collaboration with your peers.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides objective, impartial and unbiased opinions about the value of real property for a variety of clients and intended users. Performs a range of functions, including comprehensive and detailed market research, data analysis, report writing and creating complex financial models.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to the production of valuation reviews on real property using various methodologies including cost, income, and direct sales comparison approach.

  • Conduct research and analysis to support the preparation of valuation reviews.

  • Research and assess property information.

  • Construct financial models including discounted cash flow utilizing ARGUS software.

  • Research benchmark rates of return, including cap rates and discount rates.

  • Inspect property and interview market participants.

  • Prepare highest and best use land and property studies.

  • Confirm the characteristics of different property types and ensure the correct property classification.

  • Work as part of a team on client engagements on a portfolio of properties.

  • Support the efforts of others in the practice to ensure exceptional service to our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferable in finance, business, urban studies or economics.

  • Good communications skill both written and oral.

  • Excellent familiarity with Microsoft 365 (ex. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong Argus skills.

  • Excellent command of the English language.

  • A valid driver’s license.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $ 53,550.00 - $63,000.00
