Job Description:

We are seeking a Consultant to join the CXO Experience, Planning & Transformation team, reporting to the Director, Client APM & Transformation. In this role, you will serve as a strategic business partner, providing critical business support, analysis, and consulting services to advance our Key Initiatives and support decision-making at the leadership level. You will play a key enabling role in portfolio management and governance oversight. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple initiatives while helping to shape our project and portfolio management practices and drive continuous improvement.

What will you do?

  • Consolidate and analyze portfolio and financial data in partnership with Finance and Business stakeholders to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate findings into actionable insights that drive leadership decision-making and resource optimization

  • Define, enhance, and implement governance processes aligned with portfolio management frameworks to ensure strategic delivery and organizational alignment across project portfolios

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and planning sessions to ensure alignment between organizational strategy, team-level outcomes, and committed work across multiple initiatives

  • Serve as the CXO champion for Planview. Examples of tasks include managing project codes and resource profiles, supporting quarterly benefits reporting (financials and benefits) and maintaining CXO’s strategy portfolio and initiative-level board

What do you need to succeed?

  • Project & Financial Analysis: 3+ years of experience in project management, financial reporting, or business analysis with strong analytical skills to identify trends, synthesize data, and provide strategic recommendations

  • Stakeholder Leadership & Communication: Exceptional collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels and manage shifting priorities through ambiguity

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with portfolio management tools and technologies (Planview, Excel, Jira, PowerPoint); strong process orientation with commitment to continuous improvement and attention to information quality

  • Professional Qualifications: University degree required; PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent certification is an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
