What We'll Bring:

The Market Strategy and Market Development consultant will support strategy development, setting the go-to-market plan, and executing against them to drive growth within the Retail/eCommerce and Travel & Hospitality industries within the US Markets division of TransUnion. This will include planning, managing, and supporting end-to-end implementation of key initiatives aligned to the strategic plan and in support of the overall business objectives for the above industries. This role will collaborate closely with key matrix partners including sales, marketing, events, finance, and operations.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in business, finance, marketing, management, engineering, economics (or relevant work experience)
  • 2-4 years of professional experience, ideally in strategy, marketing, project management, or management consulting
  • Strong analytical and insight-driven problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational and project management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high degree of comfort managing multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Structured and logical thinking with ability to synthesize information into key messages appropriate for the audience and focus on what matters most
  • Experience working with senior-level managers and proven track record for completing assignments on time
  • Driven by intellectual curiosity and independent thinking, with positive “can do” self-starter attitude
  • Ability and desire to function at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Ability to effectively develop relationships, engage, advise, and persuasively communicate with leaders, customers, and internal and external partners in face-to-face scenarios demonstrating real-time insight, flexibility and sound judgment
  • Sound working knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint with strong presentation skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment preferred, collaborating across teams and functions
  • Prior experience in Retail, E-Commerce, Travel or Hospitality industries is a plus
  • Prior experience in identity/fraud risk management space or digital marketing space is a plus

    Impact You'll Make:

    • You will contribute to the creation and maintenance of the business strategy for the Retail, E-Commerce, Travel and Hospitality market segments by working on key initiatives:
      • Opportunity to be involved in projects that include new product innovation, product enhancements, customer insights development, industry-specific go-to-market strategies, industry partnerships, and data acquisition
      • Manage projects in the development of project plans, coordination of tasks, assignment and oversight of project activities and milestones for cross-functional teams, and active prioritization across multiple priorities
      • Prepare for and facilitate meetings and presentations, summarizing and documenting meeting results, next steps, and owners
    • You will develop and showcase internal and external insights using qualitative and quantitative data analysis:
      • Develop and maintain dashboards and internal reporting to track performance against KPI delivery, and mine data to identify key trends and opportunities for improvement
      • Maintain awareness of current industry trends through industry publications and company press releases and prepare insights for the monthly line of business meetings
      • Conduct or oversee general market research activities by collecting and analyzing data to better describe our organization, the industries we serve, as well as our customers and business partners
    • You will engage with the sales and marketing teams to drive revenue:
      • Identify, design, and execute against training and materials requirements to equip the sales team to sell new and/or high priority products or offerings into the market 
      • Partner with marketing to create custom content
      • Work closely with the sales team to understand sales pipeline performance and key account revenue activities
      • Maintain awareness and understanding of our demand-generation strategies to ensure alignment with objectives for measurable growth
      • Plan, execute, and ensure follow-up from industry events to increase sales and marketing effectiveness
      • Understand the drivers and detractors of revenue attainment and growth and support monthly business reviews and forecast updates

      This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

      Pay Scale Information :

      The U.S. base salary range for this position is $72,300.00 - $105,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

      Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
