Job Description

Configuration Coordinator to manage and maintain the consistency and accuracy of all configuration items across our construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all project documents, designs, drawings, and systems are properly controlled, updated, and aligned with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Oversee the documentation management and version control for all configuration items (drawings, specifications, technical data, and design changes) on construction projects. 

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure that configuration changes are accurately documented, reviewed, and approved before implementation. 

  • Maintain a configuration management system to ensure all project documents and items are versioned, tracked, and properly stored. 

  • Ensure that all project-related documents are in compliance with company standards, contract specifications, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Support the review and approval process for project deliverables and changes to ensure they meet configuration management protocols. 

  • Work with the project team to identify configuration management needs and resolve any issues related to document control or data inconsistencies. 

  • Ensure that design changes, revisions, and updates are promptly communicated to relevant stakeholders to maintain alignment across the project. 

  • Assist in preparing configuration reports, audits, and status updates for internal teams and clients. 

  • Coordinate the delivery and distribution of project documentation and configuration updates to stakeholders. 

  • Maintain auditing processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of project configurations. 

  • Provide training and support to project teams on configuration management processes and tools 

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • 2-4 years of experience in configuration management, document control, or project coordination within the construction or engineering industry. 

  •  Familiarity with construction document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Sharepoint). 

  • Experience with version control, file management, and document control processes. 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices in document management. 

Work Conditions:

  • Office-based, with occasional visits to construction sites for document review and coordination. 

  • Full-time, with potential for extended hours or overtime depending on project deadlines. 

  • Ability to work in an office environment and visit construction sites for document control activities.
