LOCATION Irvine (California), Toronto, Montreal
EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-time, exempt, new role, hybrid
SALARY RANGE $71,000 – $75,000
Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and role requirements, and will comply with applicable local pay transparency laws.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in monitoring regulatory, card schemes, and sponsor bank updates to ensure timely communication and compliance with standards. This position supports the organization’s compliance framework by identifying, logging, and escalating critical updates and alerts, maintaining compliance documentation, and assisting with training initiatives.
  • Monitoring & Analysis: Review compliance mailbox and industry portals daily for regulatory and card scheme updates and alerts; analyze bulletins and escalate critical items promptly; complete scanning activity and action outcomes
  • Documentation & Reporting: Log updates in shared compliance workbooks and maintain accurate records; prepare compliance reports and dashboards for leadership review
  • Communication & Escalation: Flag urgent updates and escalate to the Manager and Director within defined timelines; support stakeholder communication by collaborating with Independent Sales Organizations (ISO) partners and/or drafting summaries
  • Training Support: Assist in developing training materials for quarterly and ad-hoc compliance sessions; track attendance and completion rates
  • Incident Management: Document missed or delayed updates in the Compliance Incident Log; contribute to corrective action plans and post-incident reviews

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Merchant Acquiring compliance, ISO risk management, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Code of Conduct, FINTRAC, CFPB, FTC, FinCEN) and card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance tracking tools
