*This role has a hybrid work environment based out of our new office in downtown Vancouver, B.C.

How you'll make an impact: 

The Competitive Specialist will be responsible for identifying Boomi’s key competitors and market challenges and assessing our strategies, strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning. The role involves delivering actionable insights to inform and enable our sellers and key stakeholders on partnering and competing with adjacent cloud and hyperscale vendors.  

What you'll do: 

  • Competitive Content Creation and Enablement: Develop and deliver insightful content, such as competitive briefs, battle cards, and market analysis reports, that communicate competitive positioning and strategies to our sales teams
    Market Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, product profiles, market developments, and emerging technologies in the integration and automation technology sector
  • Competitor Profiling: Regularly monitor and profile key competitors, including analysis of their products, pricing, marketing strategies, customer base, and financial performance
  • Strategic Insights: Identify potential threats and opportunities in the market and provide strategic insights to support product development, marketing, and sales teams 
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on competitive landscape, market trends, and analysis outcomes
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, marketing, and R&D to share findings and recommendations
  • Data Analysis: Utilize quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods to analyze market data, sales performance, competitive pipeline and competitor information

The Experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales or sales development, market research, competitive analysis, or a similar role, in the technology sector
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large sets of data and translate them into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of integration and automation technology and market landscape
  • Knowledge specific to technology and market dynamics of cloud and hyperscale vendors – Google, Microsoft, Amazon, SAP and Salesforce
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation for this position in Vancouver, B.C.,  ranges between 90,000 - 115,000 CAD annually + applicable bonus. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
