Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

The Communications Specialist supports the Manager in executing external communications plans, including pricing and compliance communications. The role develops and edits a wide range of content such as media materials, messaging, customer communications, and digital content. It also maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Location: You will be based in our Etobicoke office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to Manager, External Communications.

Posting Type:  Replacement

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $53,000-$72,000.

Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Write and edit communications for a broad range of audiences, including presentations, press releases, bylines, briefing documents, and customer‑facing materials.
  • Collaborate with teams across the Marketing and External Communications department to ensure content is effective across traditional and digital channels.
  • Represent External Communications on key project teams and programs. Identify communication requirements, recommend approaches, and support development and execution of deliverables.
  • Support the development and publication of the company’s annual ESG report along with related content on sustainability, social responsibility, and governance.
  • Improve and evaluate communications templates, channels, and measurement tools for both traditional and digital use.
  • Support ELT and MLT with public and media relations needs, including presentations, speeches, award submissions, and preparation for media and analyst interviews.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office applications, and Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Experience in the payments industry.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
