We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Communications Manager. This role is based in our Oakville, ON location and reports to the Director, Corporate Communications.

Job Summary

As Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the communications that connect IPEX's people, strategy, and transformation journey.  Partnering closely with senior leaders across North America, you will develop compelling narratives and strategic communications initiatives that build understanding, alignment, and adoption, strengthen engagement, and inspire confidence in the future.

Operating at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and stakeholder engagement, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping translate complexity into clarity and fostering meaningful connections between employees, leaders, and business priorities.  You will have the opportunity to shape and evolve communications programs and strategies, bringing fresh thinking and a strong sense of ownership to the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of communications.  Through thoughtful storytelling, executive communications, and employee engagement strategies, you will help employees understand not only what is changing, but why it matters and how they contribute to IPEX's continued success.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic communications plans that support IPEX's vision, business priorities, and transformation initiatives.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing strategic counsel on messaging, stakeholder engagement and organizational communications to help strengthen organizational alignment, stakeholder confidence, and leadership effectiveness.

  • Create impactful communications strategies that drive awareness, understanding, alignment, and adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Partner with leaders to enhance executive visibility and effectiveness through executive communications, presentations, leadership messaging, and storytelling.

  • Develop employee communications and engagement initiatives that foster connection, strengthen culture, and reinforce a sense of shared purpose.

  • Support organizational change efforts by creating communications that help employees navigate change, understand impacts, and build confidence in the future.

  • Strengthen IPEX's reputation and internal culture through authentic, transparent, and engaging communications.

  • Measure communication effectiveness, leverage audience insights, and apply best practices to continuously improve communication outcomes and stakeholder experiences.

  • Champion continuous improvement by leveraging insights, emerging trends, and best practices to enhance communication impact and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Post-secondary degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Corporate Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience developing and leading strategic communications initiatives within corporate communications, public relations, employee communications, or a related field.

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex business priorities into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders, and provide strategic counsel across all levels of an organization.

  • Experience developing and executing communications strategies that support organizational transformation, executive communications, stakeholder engagement, and other business-critical initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, balance multiple priorities, and drive initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.

  • Professional certifications such as CPRS, IABC, Prosci, or bilingualism in English and French are considered assets.

The compensation for this position is between $93,000 and $116,300 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
