Cloud Engineering Intern

Position: Cloud Engineering Intern (May - August)

Department: Information Security

Location: 6300 Steeles Ave West, Woodbridge, ON

Hourly Rate: $19/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and approve cloud designs and deployments

• Assist with cloud deployments as necessary

• Communicate both with members of your team as well as members of the various teams in the IT department

• Enhance and support shared cloud infrastructure

• Develop and improve automated tasks

• Having fun while learning a ton!

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a university/college program (e.g., Information Systems, Computer Science, Data/Analytics, Business, or related)

• Knowledge of Cloud services and concepts (AWS, Azure)

• Knowledge of Python, Java, JavaScript or equivalent coding language(s)

• Knowledge of automated code build, test, deploy activities, using Jenkins, Docker

• Familiarity with text markup languages and data formats (YAML, JSON, Markdown etc.)

• Familiarity with using version control, i.e. Git, SVN, etc.

• Familiarity with databases, i.e. relational, no-SQL, etc.

• Solid communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
