What it’s like to be a Northbridge Claims Technical Specialist, Liability Specialty Claims

As a Claims Technical Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that prides itself on having a sharp eye on detail while keeping the customer experience top of mind. 

The Technical Specialist will be part of our Specialty Claims team and will be responsible for providing efficient and prompt investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of moderately complex casualty and litigation claims.  The Specialty Claims team is responsible for Class Actions, E&O, D&O, Abuse, Surety, Cyber, and Bad Faith claims.

If you’re great at:

  • Managing complex and sensitive Liability claims

  • Conducting thorough coverage analysis

  • Investigating liability and assessing damages

  • Evaluating exposures and negotiating settlements

  • Efficiently handling a busy daily schedule

  • Delivering an excellent customer experience

And if you have:

  • Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance focused program or related program

  • Completed or working toward the CIP designation

  • Minimum 7-10 years of Casualty and Litigation Claims adjusting experience.

  • Familiarity with applicable case law, arbitration decisions, and provincial legislation.

  • Familiarity in establishing and monitoring litigation disposition plans.

  • Ability to communicate with Claimants, Brokers, and Legal Counsel.
