As the Auto Claims Representative II you will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation and resolution of complex claims. You will contribute to our client service culture through daily interactions with clients and by implementing innovative, client-centric solutions.

How you will create impact: 
  • Completing comprehensive investigation, evaluating and determining coverage, reserving adequately, effectively negotiating and settling complex auto claims, assessing liability and problem solving.
  • Using investigation skills to identify opportunities for recovery (salvage and subrogation) ensuring proper guidelines are followed.
  • Providing feedback to the leadership team on efficiencies for processes and procedures that will enhance the client experience.
  • Supporting the team in the development of junior staff members through coaching and acting as a technical resource with respect to providing instruction and guidance.
  • Providing exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards, with the view of enabling the organization to be the industry leader in client engagement. 
To join our team:  
  • You have three years of experience in claims or a related field.
  • You have completed post-secondary education in insurance, risk management or a related discipline.
  • You have the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • You have or are working towards the provincial adjuster licences.
  • You have expert knowledge of policy coverages, provincial legislations and regulations in addition to having superior knowledge of insurance and/or claims and client service principles while also having basic understanding of vehicle repairs.

Salary information

Expected  Salary range  $60,574.00 to $100,956.00 CAD

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics
