Title: Change and Release Manager

Total Potential Compensation: $135,000 - $165,000
Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Operations and Resilience, the Change and Release Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of changes and releases within the organization's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with various teams including delivery, operations, quality assurance, project management to ensure that changes are implemented smoothly and releases are delivered on schedule with minimal disruptions to the business. The ideal candidate will have strong background with IT Service Management processes, working knowledge of various delivery methodology and a customer-focused mindset.
Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain the organization's change management process and release management strategies
Review and assess proposed changes to determine potential impact on systems, processes, and stakeholders
Facilitate change review meetings and maintain accurate records of all changes
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that changes are properly evaluated, approved, and scheduled, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT priorities
Establish and maintain release calendars and communicate release schedules to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies related to change and release management
Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of changes and releases and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement in change and release processes
Oversee the deployment of releases into production environments, coordinating activities to minimize downtime and risk
Identify and assess risks associated with changes and releases, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on change and release activities, address concerns, and solicit feedback
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors
Evaluate and implement tools and technologies to support change and release management processes, such as version control systems, deployment automation tools, and release orchestration platforms
Continuously assess and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tools and workflows to streamline change and release activities
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
Proven experience in change and release management roles, preferably in a complex IT environment
Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines
Experience with change and release management tools and technologies
Certification in ITIL or related disciplines is a plus
