Position Summary
We are looking for a Canadian Retail Marketing Intern to join us for a 12-week period. This position will be based out of our Toronto, ON office.
The McCain intern will develop the critical and strategic thinking to be a future brand management marketer. The intern will get the opportunity to get exposure to the marketing team as well as key cross functional partners to better understand how strategies get executed in the marketplace. One of the main duties of the intern will be to evaluate data trends, competitors, consumer insights that lead to strategies and actions that will help the business grow.
The Team
The McCain marketing intern will be part of the Canadian Retail marketing team. The team is comprised of 10+ highly motivated marketers that is trying to accelerate growth for the business.
What You Will Be Working On

  • Working on iconic retail brands
  • Owning specific projects for each product segment that supports the marketing team
  • Evaluating and analyzing competitors and making recommended strategic actions
  • Business analysis and key findings to support the Annual Operating Plan
  • Evaluating consumer insights that leads to key marketing communications or innovation


What You Will Learn

  • You will get real world experience by owning specific projects that will be executed into the marketplace
  • Full understanding marketing and brand management works within a CPG and Food Service company
  • Develop data analytical skills that will be used to make recommendations while also learning external data sources such as Nielsen
  • Get 1:1 and on the job training from various marketing leads as well as from key cross functional partners
  • Learn how strategies get executed throughout the organization as well as internal alignments
  • Develop and learn how a P&L works to achieve business objectives
  • Use data to make recommendations and to drive business results
  • Gain an understanding of consumer insights framework and how it impacts behavior and results
