We’re looking for an AI-first Business System Engineer - AI to help accelerate how CTC teams adopt, design, and scale intelligent ways of working. This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, process design, AI agent development, and Atlassian platform enablement.
In this hands-on role, you will design and build AI-powered solutions using platforms such as Atlassian Rovo Studio, Jira, Confluence, Jira automation, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. You will help teams move from manual, inconsistent processes to standardized, scalable, AI-enabled workflows that improve productivity, quality, and traceability.
This is a role for a practical builder and enabler — someone who can understand business problems, translate them into smart workflow designs, configure the right Atlassian capabilities, and coach teams on how to use AI responsibly and effectively. If you enjoy asking, “How can we make this workflow smarter?” and you are comfortable building, testing, refining, and enabling others, this role is for you.
What you'll do
AI Enablement and Agent Design Experience
Design, build, and enable AI agents that help teams automate repetitive tasks, decompose requirements, create and update work items, summarize information, and improve decision-making.
Translate business problems into practical AI-enabled workflow designs, including agent instructions, prompts, knowledge sources, inputs, outputs, guardrails, and human review points.
Monitor adoption, collect feedback, analyze effectiveness, and continuously improve AI agents, automation rules, and Atlassian configurations.
Promote responsible AI usage by ensuring outputs are reviewed, assumptions are transparent, and AI-enabled workflows follow approved standards and access controls.
Atlassian Administration Experience
Configure and administer Atlassian capabilities across Jira and Confluence, including project settings, workflows, permissions, templates, fields, automation rules, and knowledge structures.
Design and configure Jira automations that improve project board hygiene, reduce manual updates, support traceability, and improve team efficiency.
Create Confluence templates, guidance pages, and knowledge structures that support AI agent performance, reusable standards, and consistent delivery practices.
Business Analysis, Process Design, and Enablement Skills
Support the rollout and adoption of AI-enabled ways of working by creating playbooks, training materials, demos, office hours, and team coaching sessions.
Document agent designs, automation logic, configuration decisions, and operating procedures in alignment with CTC Engineering practices and governance standards.
Agile & Collaboration
Partner with BSA, Solution Architecture, Product, Engineering, QA, Delivery, and business teams to identify high-value AI and automation use cases.
What you bring
Atlassian Administration Experience
Proven hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and improving AI agents using Atlassian Rovo Studio or comparable low-code/no-code AI agent platforms.
Strong understanding of how Jira and Confluence work together to support requirements, work item creation, traceability, delivery execution, and knowledge management.
Experience working with Atlassian automation, marketplace apps, integrations, or reporting capabilities is a strong asset.
Business Analysis, Process Design, and Enablement Skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex processes and translate them into simple, scalable workflow solutions.
Ability to identify process bottlenecks, standardization gaps, and automation opportunities across teams.
Experience creating clear documentation, process maps, templates, playbooks, training materials, and enablement content.
Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to explain AI and platform concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Agile & Collaboration
Ability to collaborate across BSA, Product, Engineering, Architecture, QA, Delivery, and business stakeholder groups.
Results-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance platform standards, team needs, and delivery priorities.
