Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong Banking and Risk Management domain expertise and hands-on experience supporting the QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) platform. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders, risk management teams, and technology teams to deliver risk management solutions and platform enhancements.
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, business process analysis, and translating business requirements into functional specifications within a QRM environment.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business users, risk management teams, and technology stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
Work closely with QRM platform users and technical teams to support risk management initiatives and regulatory requirements.
Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement elicitation sessions.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Analyse current business processes and identify improvement opportunities within risk management workflows.
Support implementation, enhancement, and maintenance activities related to the QRM platform.
Perform impact assessments, gap analysis, and data analysis for system enhancements.
Develop and execute SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
Participate in system testing, UAT, defect triage, and post-production support activities.

Create and maintain project artifacts including:
Manage project requirements and documentation using Jira and Confluence.
Coordinate with development, QA, PMO, and business teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Support regulatory compliance, audit, and risk reporting initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
8+ years of Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience.
Experience working in Banking or Financial Services organizations.
Hands-on experience supporting the QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) platform.
Strong understanding of Risk Management processes and controls.
Proven experience in:

Requirements Gathering
Stakeholder Management
Business Process Analysis
Functional Requirement Documentation

Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
Experience using Jira and Confluence.
Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience at major Canadian banks.
