Who You Will Work With:

You will join the Product Foundation team within Money Movement and work closely with Business Systems Analysts, Product partners, developers, Quality Engineering, and subject-matter experts.

During the internship, you will explore how AI can support the review of API specifications by identifying missing information, naming inconsistencies, conflicting definitions, validation gaps, and differences across specification versions. You will help develop and evaluate a controlled proof of concept, compare AI-generated findings with manually reviewed examples, and create repeatable workflows and guidance that improve the efficiency, consistency, and accuracy of API specification reviews.

This is a collaborative and hands-on opportunity to apply AI to a practical business and technology challenge. AI-generated observations will be validated by accountable team members before being used
What You Will Do:

  • Assess the current API specification review process and identify pain points, repetitive activities, and common sources of rework in collaboration with the BSA and Product teams.
  • Explore practical AI-assisted techniques for reviewing API specifications and detecting gaps, inconsistencies, and potential quality issues.
  • Define a structured taxonomy and evaluation criteria for discrepancies such as missing fields, inconsistent naming, conflicting definitions, validation gaps, and differences between specification versions.
  • Develop a controlled proof of concept that uses AI to compare and analyze selected API specifications and generate findings for human validation.
  • Create structured reports that capture each discrepancy, its source reference, potential impact, confidence level, and recommended follow-up.
  • Evaluate AI-generated findings against manually reviewed examples, document accuracy and limitations, and refine prompts or rules based on feedback.
  • Work with subject-matter experts to validate observations and maintain clear traceability from identified issues through review and resolution.
  • Develop user guidance, safeguards, and recommendations that support the future adoption or extension of AI-assisted API specification reviews across the Product Foundation, BSA, and Product teams

What You Bring:

  • Basic understanding of LLMs, prompts, agents, and workflows
  • Familiarity with APIs, data sources, and system integrations
  • Ability to prototype solutions quickly and iterate based on feedback
  • You are currently enrolled in a university or college program in a relevant discipline, like Data science, computer science, cybersecurity or IT
  • Proven experience in data analysis, project management and/or business analyst
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, data engineering and data management technologies
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with fraud teams and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and feature development within relevant industries
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with other teams and other stakeholders
  • You have excellent communication skills to document requirements and workflows clearly
  • Have strong attention to detail to improve analysis and specifications

Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:

  • Understanding of the payments/banking industry/fintech/finance
