We believe conversations will become the #1 way to shop.

At Gorgias, we’re building the platform that makes this real: a unified AI agent that sells, supports, and re-engages customers across the entire journey. Conversational Commerce is the future of ecommerce, and we’re leading that shift.

Our mission is to turn every interaction between a brand and its customers into a relationship: personal, seamless, and intelligent. By combining deep product expertise with the latest in AI, we’re making shopping feel more natural, human, and connected than ever before.

To win, we focus relentlessly on:

  • Quality: conversations that feel authentic and on-brand.

  • Experience: effortless shopping from chat to checkout.

  • Re-engagement: personal, 1-1 dialogue instead of noisy marketing.

The opportunity is massive. As AI reshapes how people buy, Gorgias is building the foundation for the next decade of ecommerce, where every brand has its own intelligent agent and every customer feels understood.

Join us to make Conversational Commerce real.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and adaptable Business Development Representative (BDR) to help accelerate our outbound pipeline growth.

As one of the first touchpoints for prospective Mid-Market and Enterprise customers, you'll own outbound prospecting and help build pipeline from the ground up. You'll work directly alongside the Enterprise Account Executive team, supporting their pipeline goals and learning the full sales motion first-hand. You'll also get hands-on with AI-enabled sales tools and grow inside a genuinely AI-first company.

The ideal candidate is a fast learner, thrives in a dynamic environment, and brings strong communication skills, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and make an immediate impact on revenue generation.

What You'll Do
  • Own outbound prospecting across Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts - calls, emails, and LinkedIn sequences

  • Partner directly with your paired Enterprise AE on target accounts, pipeline priorities, and handoffs

  • Research accounts, identify the right stakeholders, and write messaging that actually gets responses

  • Use AI and sales automation tools to work smarter and personalize at scale

  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences across North America (3–5x per year)

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Partnerships, Marketing, and Events to find new angles into leads

Who You Are
  • Early in your career with a clear interest in tech & sales

  • Collaborative team player with experience contributing in group settings (for example: prior work teams, sports teams, volunteer leadership, etc.)

  • Comfortable with cold outreach and resilient when it doesn't land

  • Coachable, curious and motivated to exceed performance goals

  • Competitive and self-directed - you track your own numbers and don't wait to be managed

  • Strong communicator, confident engaging senior stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or other outbound sales environments.

  • Experience in ecommerce or building a brand.

  • Background in high-ownership or high-effort environments (volunteering, sports teams, hospitality, etc.).

  • Self-starter with a grinder mentality, someone who takes initiative and pushes through obstacles.

Why Join Us:
  • Exposure to Enterprise sales cycle from day one

  • AE path is real and fast: 12–18 months, not "eventually"

  • AI-first stack at a company actively building with it, not just talking about it

AI at Gorgias
At Gorgias, AI is a natural extension of how we work and build. Our teams use it every day to research, write, analyze, code, and craft better customer experiences. Everyone has access to premium AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Granola & others) and an annual L&D budget to explore new ones.

The real magic happens when we share what we learn. Our #powerup Slack channel is a digital petri dish of new tools and workflows, and each team has AI champions who showcase fresh ideas during weekly company-wide standups, now practically AI demo sessions.

We see AI not as a replacement for creativity or empathy, but as a multiplier, helping us move faster, think deeper, and serve customers better.
