About exacare ai
exacare ai is a leading health tech company on a mission to build the AI operating system for post-acute care. Our platform turns messy, unstructured referral packets into clear clinical insights and next steps, so teams can make faster, safer placement decisions with less administrative burden. Today, exacare ai powers more than 2,000 facilities, and is growing rapidly.

We recently raised a $30M Series A led by Insight Partners, and are bringing world-class talent together to transform healthcare. If you like building, learning, and want to make a real impact, come join us!

About the Role

We’re building our first BDR team at exacare ai, and you’d be one of the first reps on it. This is a true 0 → 1 seat. There is no inherited playbook and no library of cadences waiting for you, which means you get real say in how outbound works here.

You’ll own top of funnel for one of our segments, either skilled nursing or home health and hospice, and you’ll work closely with two Account Executives on their account hereunts and your own. Your job is to find the right operators, get their attention, and put real meetings on the calendar. You’ll report to our Director of Business Development and partner with RevOps and Marketing as we build the engine together.

What You’ll Do
  • Generate pipeline: Own outbound for your book of accounts and generate the meetings that become pipeline for your AEs. Meetings generated is the number you are measured on.
  • Lead with the phone: Cold calling is your primary channel, backed by LinkedIn and email. Think roughly 50 quality touches a day, not spray and pray.
  • Build the plays: Find the right contacts, write the messaging, and build multi-touch sequences from scratch. On your largest accounts, you’ll build the plan of attack together with your AE.
  • Get creative: Social, gifting campaigns, events, whatever cuts through the noise. We want reps who think past the template.
  • Put AI to work: Use AI for research and drafting, then take it further by building agents, using buying signals to prioritize accounts within your territory, and refining your own process over time.
  • Work the room: Represent exacare ai at industry events and turn those conversations into opportunities.
  • Build with the team: Partner with RevOps on contacts and territory design, and with Marketing on the campaigns worth running.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience: 1-2 years as an SDR or BDR at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Outbound track record: A consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota, with a clear view of the activity and approach behind it. We are as interested in how you built the number as in the number itself.
  • Complex sales: Experience selling a technically involved product to senior stakeholders at the director level and above, with meaningful deal sizes and considered buying decisions.
  • Bias to the phone: Cold calling is one of your strongest channels. You are confident opening a conversation with a senior operator and comfortable earning their attention on a live call.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Experience in an early-stage, fast-moving environment where you built the lists, messaging, and process you needed and made steady progress with limited structure in place.
  • AI fluency: You already use AI to work faster, and you’re curious about how far it goes.
  • Coachability and grit: You take feedback and apply it, and you keep going when the week is hard.
  • Executive presence: You are clear and credible on a call with a senior operator from day one.
Benefits + Perks
  • Competitive salary and equity in a high-growth startup
  • Flexible PTO, take what you need
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Great startup culture, including company off-sites
  • High-achieving team, including ex-Amazon engineers and alumni of Bain, BCG, Goldman Sachs, and more
An insight into our Core Values

Only the best belong here

We are unapologetic about talent. This should be the best team you have ever been on. Protecting that standard is how we honor each other’s time, ambition, and craft.

We work even harder to keep our partners than we did to earn them initially

The work does not stop when a customer first onboards to our platform. It deepens over time. We partner with operators, listening and learning about real problems, and translate that into solutions that help them succeed in practice. We earn trust through consistent delivery.

We keep the patient downstream of every decision

At the end of the day, this is about the patient. We get there by deeply respecting and reflecting on our purpose: to develop software that aids teams in delivering better care.

Raise the bar on ownership

We grow because people here go beyond the minimum. We invest extra effort, care, and ownership into what we build.

The world is moving fast. We move faster.

This is a race. We work hard, we move early, and we stay ahead of problems and competitors. If we slow down, someone else will pass us.

Radical candor, zero politics

We say what’s true, early, and we keep communication direct and clean so the team can move.

Bring good vibes and win together

We win as a team. We bring energy, support each other, and make the workplace somewhere people are excited to show up.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to have a chat!
