What is the opportunity?


We are looking for candidates to grow our Sales team in Ontario. As a Business Development Representative (BDR) , you are responsible for driving Optiom’s product adoption across Ontario’s automotive dealership network. This role focuses on building strong relationships with dealer principals, F&I managers, and service departments to promote Optiom’s warranty and replacement products. This role will execute territorial growth strategies, manage onboarding, and ensure dealer engagement aligns with corporate objectives.


What will you do?

  • Identify and engage new car and used car dealerships across an assigned territory within Ontario. Move prospects through the B2B sales funnel, from initial contact to activation.
  • Present Optiom’s automotive product suite to dealership stakeholders. Execute agreements and clearly explain the details of each agreement, including product features, service commitments, and any relevant terms or conditions.
  • Conduct product training sessions for dealership staff, including F&I and service teams. Support marketing collateral deployment and dealer onboarding processes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, ensuring timely resolution and dealer satisfaction.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with dealer principals, F&I managers, and service leaders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements.
  • Monitor competitor products, market trends, and provincial regulations impacting dealership operations.
  • Stay informed on competitor products, market trends, and provincial regulations. Provide feedback to internal teams on dealer needs and product positioning.

What do you need to succeed?


  • 1+ years of experience in automotive sales, warranty products, or B2B business development.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, coupled with a deep understanding of automotive dealership operations and service department dynamics.
  • Excel at delivering compelling presentations and conducting effective training sessions for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and pipeline management to ensure efficient tracking and execution of sales strategies.
  • Reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license.
