Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth across the Ontario region. Reporting to the Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships, you will play a key role in expanding our merchant network by qualifying leads, closing new partnerships, and representing iFinance at industry events and trade shows.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in B2B sales, a hunter mindset, and a passion for delivering value-added financial solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key verticals such as medical, dental, cosmetic, and wellness.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using a variety of outreach methods: cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, networking events, and in-person meetings.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to onboard and grow accounts.
  • Deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations to potential partners.
  • Represent iFinance at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities in the CRM system.
  • Analyze and share key business performance metrics with partners.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets while ensuring a high standard of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support successful client onboarding and retention.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales.
  • Proven ability to develop and close B2B opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to various stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in consumer finance, fintech, or credit-related services is a strong asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
